Researcher + Designer + Urbanist
Judith's work focuses on infrastructure, landscape, and urbanization. Currently a Research Associate appointed by Harvard GSD and Program Administrator at the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure. She researches sustainability and resilience in developing contexts through infrastructure assessments on large-scale infrastructure, mostly in the transportation, sanitation and energy sectors. Her research experience includes the Inter-American Development Bank Infrastructure 360º Awards initiative in Latin America, and leading the research of the database on flood resilience strategies based on cities’ best practices and the Envision Rating System. As Program Administrator, Ms. Rodríguez has directed resilience and urban health focused symposia bringing together global infrastructure industry leaders, experts, academics, and public officials.
In addition, Judith co-founded the Climate Adaptive Just Urbanism (CAJU) initiative. CAJU articulates urban resilience with measurable evidence-based, replicable and accessible design strategies that can prepare urban communities, to cope and adapt to climate change. Her interests include understanding urbanization and energy infrastructure in the Brazilian Amazon.
